2021 lucy m... dynamique cabernet franc

the farm: the cabernet franc and sangiovese is robert surmann’s vineyard in totness with 30 y/o vines grown on black sandy soil overlying petrified schist it is V.S.P. trained and spur pruned.

how the wine was made: 100% whole bunch carbonic fermented for 4 days, then pressed to aged in 3000L enox.

notes: black currants and while mulberry in a wicker basket on a county side store. how can such a light ruby red liquid be so sinuous, sumptuous, danish salty liquorish fish.

the farms: the syrah fruit comes from a farm on the hills of mclaren vale and is sees the ocean, the soils are heavy red clay.

the gamay is from robert surmann’s vineyard in totness with 30 y/o vines grown on black sandy soil overlying petrified schist, it is V.S.P. trained and spur pruned.

how the wine was made: 100% whole bunch carbonic fermented for 5 days, then pressed to aged in old 500L oak barrels.

notes: if you are not caught drinking this wine riding down the avenue on a bicycle with your lover on the handle bars, both nude, drinking from the bottle, then you obviously don’t own a bicycle! magenta translucent vibrance jumps on you. sumptuous crunchy fun flirts with happiness, drink my plush flesh as the air rushes past us as we free-wheel in the morning light.

the farms: the gamay is from robert surmann’s vineyard in totness with 30 y/o vines grown on black sandy soil overlying petrified schist, it is V.S.P. trained and spur pruned.

how the wine was made: the gamay was carbonically fermented for 5 days in a 2400L wooden barrel then aged in 800L terracotta eggs.

notes: it's the warmth from you fist crush. drunken on the streets of beaujolais, wine lipsticked and smiling with a lost shoe and a new love. happiness can always be found in a bottle of gamay!

2021 lucy m... vin rosso

varieties: merlot 87%, syrah 13%

the farm’s: the merlot is grown at the magpie springs farm in the hope
forest. it has sand soil and is at the top of a hill near the ocean with strong
ocean breezes sometimes. the vines are 25 years old and VSP trained and spur pruned.

the syrah fruit comes from a farm on the hills of mclaren vale and is sees the ocean, the soils are heavy red clay.

how the wine was made: 100% whole bunch carbonic fermented for 5 days. then pressed to a 2500L jarrah barrel and 500L old french oak barrels and aged and assembled at bottling.

notes: late spring gives the warmth to the soft dark forrest where the red currents, raspberries and mulberries stain our shirts with tart sweet fragment red juice, running from our mouths like a vampires first kiss.

2021 lucy m... pinot noir nouveau

varieties: pinot noir 85%,  gamay 10%, syrah 5%

the farm’s: the pinot noir is from the ‘cemetery block’ is at the base of the piccadilly valley on alluvial black sandy soil, the vines are cane pruned. this farm is run by jenny and james griggs who are the 6th generation to farm that block.

the gamay is from robert surmann’s vineyard in totness with 30 y/o vines grown on back sandy soil overlying petrified schist, it is V.S.P. trained and spur pruned.

the syrah fruit comes from a farm on the hills of mclaren vale and is sees the ocean, the soils are heavy red clay.

how the wine was made: the wine is an assemblage prior to bottling but is essentially a pinot noir blend. the pinot noir is foot crushed then fermented whole clustered in a 2000L open top oak barrel. the gamay was carbonically fermented for 5 days in a 2400L wooden barrel then aged in terracotta eggs. the syrah is 100% whole bunch carbonic fermented for 5 days, then pressed to aged in in old 500L oak barrels. pressed and it completes ferment and is aged in 500L barrels.

notes: the thing about this spring pinot is its just so damn pretty and radiant, the crimson glow she radiates is alluring! dark ruby lusciousness holds bunches of rhubarb, cinnamon barks with cherry blossoms dancing like fairies on the morning spring tide. the well structured palate lets you know she is no child and her mature romantic sinister play leaves a serious subtle tannin bed.

the farms: the sangiovese is from robert surmann’s vineyard in totness with 30 y/o vines grown on black sandy soil overlying petrified schist, it is V.S.P. trained and spur pruned.

how the wine was made: the sangiovese was carbonically fermented for 4 days in a 2400L wooden barrel ,then aged in enox.

notes: the youthful vibrance of blood plums, dark electric neon excitement, red velvet silk lined walls, acid jazz vibraphone, sharp jackets, rabbit furred hats with guinea foul feathers, string ties and neck scarves, winklepickers with silver buckles. If you have the groove then this is your juice!
